Short bio

Originally an atomic physicist, Gregor now investigates the creation of superconducting and topologically non-trivial phases using periodic driving in solids. He is performing mid-IR pump, THz probe experiments on organic materials, applying high-pressure techniques, and extending Floquet theory to solid state systems. He is also developing a setup to measure and switch magnetic fields on sub-picosecond timescales in order to investigate the magnetic dynamics of light-induced superconductors.
