Short bio

Andrea completed his master degree in Physics at "Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore" in Brescia (Italy) in Sep 2011. During his master thesis he investigated the electronic structure of multi-wall carbon nanotubes using time-resolved optical spectroscopy.

He joined our group in Jan 2012 to develop techniques for the shaping of femtosecond pulses in the mid-infrared. In particular, he is working on an all-reflective phase modulation scheme and on the generation of intense narrowband mid-IR pulses.
